A Chinese actor, born in Beijing, China, on November 27, 1912. He was nominated for the 1979 Golden Horse Award for Best Supporting Actor. Among his most important works are Drunken Master (1978), Purple Lightning Sward (1964), and Snake in the Eagle's Shadow (1987). He began his life at the age of 37 and became famous for presenting the roles of trainers and kung fu masters. He appeared in more than 150 films throughout his career. He died in Hong Kong, on January 8, 1979, of a heart attack.
