Following her high school graduation in 1974, she started studying German theater and literature before completing her acting training at the Max Reinhardt School. Her first screen appearance was in Tales from the Vienna Woods (1979). Her most notable works include Trauma (1984), Charlotte (1980), The Seventh Continent (1989), and The Old Fox (1995-1998). She died on October 26, 2015, in Vienna, Austria, following a stroke.
