She began her career in 1955 and her credits include Ronja Rövardotter (1984), Jag är nyfiken - en film i gult (1967), and Jag är nyfiken - en film i. blått (1968). She won the Eugene O'Neill Award and the royal Medal of Arts and Literature in 2004. She died of cancer on February 4, 2011.
