A Swedish singer and actress, born in Stockholm, Sweden. She studied at the National Theater School of Sweden . She was one of Sweden's leading ladies on the stage for nearly 30 years. She began her career in 1955 and her credits include Ronja Rövardotter (1984), Jag är nyfiken - en film i gult (1967), and Jag är nyfiken - en film i. blått (1968). She won the Eugene O'Neill Award and the royal Medal of Arts and Literature in 2004. She died of cancer on February 4, 2011.
