Girl with Green Eyes, his first feature film as a director, took home the National Board of Review Award for Best Director in 1964. Among his best-known films are Time Lost and Time Remembered (1966), The Sign of Four (1983), and the 1981 adaptation of Clash of the Titans. He died on July 3, 2021.
