She is an Australian actress, and she is of Vietnamese descent. Her mother was a refugee from Vietnam who landed in Australia in the early 2000s, fleeing war. Catherine finished high school in Brisbane, Queensland. She began her studies at Queensland University of Technology for a business degree before switching to acting and receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2006.She performed in student films, took evening classes, and appeared in different theatres in Sydney. She is known for Hungry Ghosts (2020), All My Friends Are Leaving Brisbane (2007), and Barons (2022).
