An English actor who was born in Sussex, on January 19, 1934. John married the actress Martine Beswick (1967-1973) and their marriage ended in divorce. He began his career by appearing in small roles in British films, in the late fifties and continued until the nineties. He was a pioneer in Italian films, best known for playing the role of the lover of Ursula Andres in the movie She (1965). He served in the Merchant Navy and after leaving the service, joined a local amateur theater troupe. He then began professional work in several theater groups across Britain, signed a two-year contract with Fox. His major works include: War of the Planets (1977), Black Sunday (1960), One Million Years B.C. (1966) and On a Clear Day You Can See Forever (1970). John retired from acting in the mid-1990s and worked as a photographer. He died in early 2021 with complications from the Covid-19 virus, at the age of 86.
