Among her most important works: Carry On Cleo (1964), Coronation Street (1981-2006), Ooh La La! (1968-1973) and Bad Girls (2003-2006). In 1997 Amanda suffered from a serious eye disease, which led to her losing sight in her left eye, but she continued her acting performance, especially pantomime.
