An English actress and singer, born in Armley, England, UK. Her mother was a dressmaker who ran a lodging-house, and her father was a theater worker. In her childhood, she made early appearances in music hall and variety entertainment shows as a child impersonator known as Little Elsie. By 1895-1896, she performed in concerts and pantomimes in Salford theaters. Among her credits on stage are The Arabian Nights, Little Red Riding Hood, and King Klondike. She performed in Christmas pantomimes, including The Forty Thieves (1902) and Blue Beard (1903). She appeared in the film Comradeship (1919). She died on December 16, 1962 in London, England, UK, of heart failure and pneumonia
