A Canadian actress, born on December 25, 1968, in Canal Zone, Panama, and grew up in Canada. She first appeared on the Canadian TV show You Can't Do That on TV from 1982 to 1984. The experience encouraged her to shift her focus from dancing to acting. After graduating from high school, she moved to New York City to study acting. She spent the summer at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts. Scott then attended college at the North Carolina School of the Arts, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. On stage, she has sung in All's Well That Ends Well and The Tempest with the New York Shakespeare Festival.
