An American actress, born on April 3, 1959, in Oak Park, Illinois, USA. She studied at River Forest High School in Oak Park and attended both Triton College and Clarke University but did not graduate. A member of the core group of actors at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company since 1997, she has spent most of her artistic life working in the Chicago theatre. She began her acting career in 1983. She has appeared in numerous stage productions, including Clybourne Park, American Buffalo, Dublin Carol, Pillowman, Love-Lies-Bleeding, and Awake and Sing. Her other credits include Rookie of the Year (1993), Up in the Air (2009), The Dilemma (2011), and Chicago P.D. (2014-2023).
