An Italian film and television actress, who has appeared in over 40 Italian and foreign films since the 1960s. She was born in Livorno, Italy. After completing high school, she began her artistic career as a dancer in Florence, while simultaneously studying painting and art history at the Luca School of Arts. She also attended the Florence Academy of Art, where she studied set design and costumes, but dropped out in her third year to pursue a career as a classical dancer. In the 1960s, she moved to Rome, where she enrolled at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia Foundation on a scholarship. She began combining her dance and acting careers, appearing in films such as Casanova (2005), Letters to Juliet (2010), Eat Pray Love (2010), and the short film Gli uccisori (2014). She died on June 14, 2016, in Rome, Italy.
