She is an Australian-American actress, born in Hong Kong to Australian parents. She obtained a bachelor's degree in economics from Georgetown University and graduated with honors. Shannon received coaching from the Ukrainian national gymnastics teams up until the age of seventeen. Prior to retiring from gymnastics, she earned three gold medals in the all-around national competition. After giving up the sport in three months, she made her screen debut in My Soul to Take (2010). She is known for Begin Again (2013), On & On (2020), and A Not So Good Day (2022).
