He is a Turkish-Cypriot actor, born in 1961 in Nicosia, Cyprus. He studied theatre at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and graduated in 1983. Later that year, he joined the Istanbul State Theatre, and he directed and acted in over 40 plays. He also appeared in several films and popular TV series. He is known for What's a Human Anyway? (2004), Cars of the Revolution (2008), and Lüks Otel (2011). He received Best Actor at the Ankara International Film Festival and at the Nuremberg Film Festival "Turkey-Germany" for his role in Insan nedir ki? (2004).
