An American actress and singer, born in 1980 in Queens, New York. Her father is African-American from Georgia and her mother is Puerto Rican. She graduated from Midwood High School in 1998. She received her bachelor's degree from Fordham University in 2002, and a master's degree in fine arts from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2007. She worked for many years in Off-Broadway theater before moving into film and television. Some of her works are Underground (2016), Tracers (2015) and So It Goes (2014).
