He married Evelyn Ward (1926-1964) and she remained with him until his death. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 in recognition of his film activities. He's known for Remember? (1939), Coronado (1935), and The Twilight Zone (1961). He died of a stroke on January 27, 1964 in Hollywood, California, USA, at age 68.
