She owns a theatrical group called Panorama Art Theatres, which participates in children's plays. She obtained a degree in commerce. She is married to actor Radhakrishna Dutta. She acted in a few films directed by Shyam Benegal. She is known for Saath Nibhana Saathiya (2010), The Seventh Horse of the Sun (1992), and Jaago (2004).
