An Asian American actor, born in San Francisco, California, on October 18, 1915 to Chinese emigrants. He was married to Li Yong Wong in 1945 and they had a child and their marriage ended in divorce. He's best known for playing Jimmy Chan in 11 Charlie Chan films from 1938 till 1942. His other notable role was as 'Hop Sing' in the TV series Bonanza (1959-1973). He died in 1980, at age 65. |
