A Canadian actor and casting director, born in Bridgewater, Canada. John participated in many radio series as well as theatrical productions. He made his screen debut in the 1978 short film So Long to Run. His notable works include Trailer Park Boys (2001-2018), for which he shared with the cast a Gemini Award for Best Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Program or Series in 2005, Forgive Me (2013–2015), and Haven (2010–2015). He married once and had four children, including actresses Sarah and Molly Dunsworth. He died on October 16, 2017, in Halifax, Canada.
