An Iraqi director, who graduated from the College of Fine Arts, then obtained a master’s and doctorate from the Audio and Visual Department. He worked for Iraq Television as an editor and director of many variety programs, songs, and documentaries at that time. Then he entered the world of drama and directed several works such as Kingdom of Evil (2010) and House of Wax (2005), where he relied on a directing style characterized by realism with a tendency towards symbolic connotations in order to reach the issue that he seeks to convey to the audience.
He joined a group of teaching professors at the College of Fine Arts in the Audio and Visual Department. He was multi-talented, an encyclopedist, a writer, and proficient in translation, in addition to being a film and television director. He died after being infected with the Coronavirus in a Canadian hospital on February 8, 2021.
