An award-winning bilingual actress, writer and producer, born in Shanghai, China. She moved to Los Angeles, California at a young age. She is fluent in both English and Chinese. She attended Southwestern Academy, a private boarding school in San Marino, Los Angeles. She began modeling at the age of 16, and quickly became a popular print and commercial model. She studied with acting coach Aaron Speiser (drama and comedy) for five years in Hollywood. She also learned dance for 2 years at the famous Edge Dance Studio. She made her debut in Death Becomes Her (1992), followed by other films such as Rush Hour (1998).
