A Polish actress and director, born in Gdańsk, Poland. In 1979, she graduated with honors from the Zelwerowicz State Theater Academy in Warsaw. She first appeared on screen in 1977 in the movie Death of a President, then continued her work in more than fifty films and TV series, including Extreme Ops (2002), The Art of War (2000), and Funky Monkey (2004). She also directed the documentary Beauty and the Breast (2012), which won the Best Documentary Award at the Montréal World Film Festival.
