A British actor born in London, England, United Kingdom. He received his education at Wellington Berkshire College, and graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 1953. His first major theatrical appearance was in the West End in 1954, and continued at the Old Vic in London and Broadway in New York. He was married twice and had no children. Among his notable credits are For Your Eyes Only (1981), Some Girls Do (1969), and Repulsion (1965). In the sixties, he appeared in several films by Joseph Losey. He also appeared in many horror films and worked frequently in television series. He died of cancer on January 18, 1998 in Arundel, Sussex, England, UK, at age of 64. |
