Shaimaa Saied |
A Canadian film and television actress, born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She began performing with the local Toronto theater group THOG at Bathurst Street United Church. She received a Genie nomination for Best Supporting Actress for In Praise of Older Women (1978). She traveled to the United States, where she studied with Gene Lasko and made several films, including The Keep (1983). Some of her works are Women of Valor (1986), Spanking the Monkey (1994) and Hackers (1995). She died of cancer on March 21, 2015, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
