She is an Iranian-American actress, born on July 24, 1984, in Tehran, Iran. She immigrated to the US when she was nine months old and grew up in Powell, Ohio. In high school, she participated in theatre productions as both an actress and director. She obtained a BFA from Boston University's School of Theatre and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City. She appeared in several regional and Off-Broadway stage productions. Her screen debut was in Law & Order (2008). She is also known for Legends of Tomorrow (2017-2022), Smash (2012), and Odyssey (2015).
