A Canadian-American actress of African descent, born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She began acting and modeling when she was four years old. Kaya graduated from high school with a French bilingual diploma with honors and received a bachelor's degree in Medical Molecular Biochemistry. She is the daughter of former CFL star Marvin Coleman. She has received several athletic awards. She is known for The Sinners (2020) and Come True (2020).
