She is an American singer, dancer, and actress. She was born on August 23, 1949 in Akron, Ohio, USA. She worked as a beautician and sang gospel when she was a teenager. Her professional singing career started when she joined Soul Sensations. Later, she joined Ike & Tina Turner Revue an Ikette in 1968. She travelled the world and made appearances on numerous television programs, and in the mid 70s, she started acting in films. She is known for Darktown Strutters (1975), Truck Turner (1974), and Tina Turner: Let's Stay Together (1983).
