She studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and debuted in 1964 as Titania in a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. She appeared extensively in London stage productions throughout the 1970s. She is also known for her roles in 1970s horror films, including From Beyond the Grave (1974), Symptoms (1974), and The Godsend (1980).
