Shaimaa Saied |
A British actor, born as Arthur George Haynes Murcell in Naples, Campania, Italy. He worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company. He specialized in playing foreign characters, including Germans, Russians, and South Americans. During World War II, he served on the Libyan front. In 1973, he opened the St. George Theatre, where he presented classic plays, in which he acted and directed.
In addition to acting, he was a brilliant musician and linguist. He made his film debut in Harlequin in Venice (1952), and his last appearance was in Die Eisprinzessin (1996). He was married twice and had no children. Among his notable works are Cutthroat Island (1995), Hell Drivers (1957), and The Possessed (1969). He died in Isleworth, Middlesex, England, UK on December 3, 1998, at age 73.
