She joined Birmingham-Southern College on a dance scholarship and graduated with a bachelor's degree in dance and choreography. She worked for several years in dance and got film roles in films such as (Footloose) and (Lifted), in addition to roles in television series such as (Being Mary Jane) and (Vampire Diaries).
