A Chinese actress, born in Lhasa, China. For 42 years, she served as the Tibetan Children's Villages' president. In 1950, she traveled to India to study at St. Joseph's Convent in Kalimpong, and in 1960, she completed her Senior Cambridge. She is the Dalai Lama's sister. She appeared in Seven Years in Tibet (1997), Amala - The Life and struggle of Dalai lama's sister (2022), and The Last Dalai Lama? (2016).
