An English actress of Indian descent, who grew up in Shanghai, China. She began her acting career onstage while studying Law in London. Her onscreen debut was in Indian cinema even though she did not speak Indian at the time. Her first acting role was on Heroes and Villains (2006). Among her credits are Canaries, Love Aaj Kal, and Say Your Prayers.
