An American stage, film, and television actress born on October 16, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. The daughter of a laboratory technician, and a physician. Her father is Swedish and her mother is Hungarian. She majored in drama at the University of Iowa. Peterson played Corliss Archer in a USO-sponsored band that has performed at military bases in Japan, the Philippines, and elsewhere in the Pacific. She later worked on stage in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Boston and Massachusetts. As an actress, she divided her time between film, television and Broadway. She is known for: Another World (1964), Dragnet (1987), American Playhouse: Pigeon Feathers (1988) and Hall of Fame (1951).
