A British actor born in Shimla, British India. He graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the Edinburgh Academy. He was a member of the Black Watch in the British Military but resigned in 1932 to join Drury Lane theater troupe as a professional dancer. He later shifted to film and TV roles. His notable works include Strangler's Morgue (1946), Scott of the Antarctic (1948), The Invisible Man (1958-1959), and Gorgo (1961). He was married twice and had one daughter. He died in London, England, on 27 September 1969. |
