She is a British actress, born in Leamington Spa, UK. She is an Associate Member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. After training at RADA and the National Youth Theatre, she began her career on stage in Scotland. She has performed at the Shakespeare's Globe, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre, and the West End. She started her acting career at a young age and participated in many TV shows and movies as the lead role. Her notable works include Miss Marple: Sleeping Murder (1987), Extras (2006), and The Child in Time (2017).
