American director and actor, born in Boston, Massachusetts, on April 26, 1901. Hamilton was married three times and had four children. After graduating from Harvard law school, he worked as a stage director. He appeared in small roles from 1931 till the mid-40s. His most important works are: Oh, for a Man ! (1930), Crazy That Way (1930), Second Hand Wife (1933) and Escape by Night (1937). He died in 1977 at the age of 76. |
