He appeared on 5 Alfred Hitchcock films that helped him rise to fame. His notable works include Hue and Cry (1947), Fly Away Peter (1948), Passport to Pimlico (1949), and I'll Get You (1952). He died on 22 September 1979 in Berkshire, England, UK.
