A British actor born in Barkston, on March 13, 1914. He is a British actor, screenwriter and painter. He got married twice and had three children. He was born to an English father and a Danish mother. He studied painting at Chelsea College of Art in London, and the Colarossi Academy in Paris. Among his most important works: Doctor Who (1970), Star Trek: Voyager (2000), and The Adventures of Ben Gunn (1958). His last appearance was in the short film Fellini's Donut (2005). He then lived in Southern California and set up an art studio in Santa Monica, and devoted his time to painting. He died in 2015 of congestive heart failure at the age of 101.
