An American film and television actor, born in Petrolia, Texas, USA. He married Helen Hadley (1941-1974) and had a child with her. They remained together until his death. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for his television work. His most notable works include I Take This Woman (1940), Big House U.S.A. (1955), Zorro's Fighting (1939), and Dallas (1950). He was a prolific American film, television, and radio actor who graduated from Bennett High School. He appeared in films as either a villain or a law enforcement officer. He also lent his booming voice to narrate numerous feature films and documentaries, particularly those about the military. He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, of a heart attack at the age of 63.
