Buster's most notable works include The Devil Takes the Count (1936), Range Beyond the Blue (1947), Ridin' Down the Trail (1947), and Song of...Read more the Sierras (1946). He began his film career at the age of seven with the advent of sound in films and continued until the mid-1950s. He appeared in many Western films and played the role of a newspaper vendor in several films. He served in World War II in 1942 as a soldier in the US Army Air Corps. He was shot down and captured by the Germans in 1944, and spent the rest of the war in an internment camp. He died in Walnut Creek, California, USA, on June 27, 2009, at the age of 86.
