An Indian actress, born in Machilipatnam, India. She worked in hundreds of films and is best known for playing the role of mother and then grandmother in several Telugu language films. Her films include Aakhari Poratam (1988), Shiva (1989), Thalapathi (1991), Killer (1992), Mayalodu (1993), Street Fighter (1995), Rayudu (1998), and Mathru Devo Bhava (2015). She won the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Mayuri. She died on February 19, 2009 in Hyderabad, India.
