A French actress, director, and writer, born in Amiens, France. She trained in dramatic arts at the Cours Florent, the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique. In 1988, she was nominated for a César Award for Best New Actress for her role in Claude Chabrol's Masks (1987), and then for a European Film Award for Best Actress in 1990 for her role as Roxanne in Cyrano de Bergerac. She received the Romy Schneider Award in 1991 and the César Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1992 for her role in Tous les matins du monde (1991).
