• A British actress and radio announcer who was born in Mariani, Assam, British India, to Scottish parents. She was married twice and did not have children. She is known for Horror...Read more of Dracula (1958), The Three Hostages (1952), and The Spaniard's Curse (1958). Later in her life, she became an Australian citizen. She is best known for her roles in horror and suspense films. She started working on the British radio in 1932, and in the late 1940s, she made British films and television series until 1965. She emigrated to Australia, where, from 1975 to 1991, she made Australian films and television series. Her last appearance was in the series The Flying Doctors (1991). She died in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on March 7, 1992.
