A British actress who was born in Mariani, Assam, British India on August 28, 1900 and died in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on March 7, 1992. She was married twice and did not have children. She is known for Horror of Dracula (1958), The Three Hostages (1952), and The Spaniard's Curse (1958). She became a British and Australian actress and radio presenter, born in British India to Scottish parents. She is best known for her roles in horror and suspense films. She worked on the British Radio since 1932, and at the end of the forties, she presented British films and television series until 1965. She emigrated to Australia, where from 1975 until 1991, she presented Australian films and television series. Her last appearance was in the series The Flying Doctors (1991). She died in Sydney in 1992 at the age of 91.
