A British actress who was born in Southgate, London, England, United Kingdom on May 10, 1926 and died in Bloomsbury, London, England, United Kingdom on March 6, 2010. She never married. She is known for Brighton Rock (1948), Horror of Dracula (1958). and Private Information (1952). She became an English film and television actress, best known for playing Rose in the 1947 movie Brighton Rock. She studied at Hammersmith Abbey in West London and practiced acting in the school theater. She received a scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music, Department of Drama at the Academy, where she studied rhetoric and drama, as well as singing. She joined the Rank Youth Company for training on Acting and presented her first films, Brighton Rock (1948) and Alice in Wonderland (1949). Her best series was BBC Sunday-Night Theater 1950-1956. In the seventies, she appeared on the West End theater in London. She also worked extensively, on radio, performing over a hundred radio plays on BBC Radio between 1950 and 1980. Her last appearance was in the 1974 TV series, Marked Personal. She died in 2010 at the age of 84.
