A British film and television actress who was born in Southgate, London, England, United Kingdom. She never married. Her credits include Brighton Rock (1948), Horror of Dracula (1958). and Private Information (1952). She is best known for playing Rose in the movie Brighton Rock.
She studied at a Hammersmith convent in West London and practiced acting in the school theater. She received a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, Department of Drama at the Academy, where she studied drama and singing. She joined Rank Organization's repertory company and made her screen debut in Brighton Rock (1948), followed by Alice in Wonderland (1949).
Among her notable TV work was BBC Sunday-Night Theatre (1950-1956). In the seventies, she appeared on the West End stage in London. Also, she worked extensively on radio, performing in more than a hundred radio plays on BBC Radio between 1950 and 1980. Her last appearance was in the TV series Marked Personal (1974). She died in Bloomsbury, London, England, United Kingdom on March 6, 2010.
