A British actor born in Foressmith, South Africa on March 19, 1922 and died in Fulham, London, England, United Kingdom on November 13, 1995 of cancer. In 1957, he married Shirley Goulden, and they had a son before divorcing in 1977. He is known for Horror of Dracula (1958), A Story of David (1960), The Men of Sherwood Forest (1954), and Account Rendered (1957). He became an actor and executive director of film production in South Africa, and he moved to Britain after World War II. He joined the Central School of Speech and Drama and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company for Theater. He worked in theatre, radio, film, and television. He retired from acting in 1961 to become a literary agent for the management of London. He became the managing director of the UK studio, and in 1969, he was promoted to head of global production, and moved to New York, then resigned in 1974 to work as a freelance producer. He returned to England in 1991 and founded the first British exhibition of talented young filmmakers Chelsea Film Festival. His first movie was The Angel with the Trumpet (1950). He devoted himself to administrative and production work after presenting his last films, Als twee druppels water (1963), a Dutch movie. He died in 1995 of cancer at the age of 73.
