A British actress, who was born in Sussex, England, United Kingdom. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for Exodus (1960). She was never married, but she dated actor Sal Mineo and producer Aaron Spelling. She is known for In Harm's Way (1965), Les mystères de Paris (1962), and The Cardinal (1963). She began appearing as a guest on television shows in 1963. She received ballet lessons at Sadler's Wells Ballet School and joined the Corona Theatre School. She appeared as a student in films, such as The 39 Steps (1959) and The Brides of Dracula (1960). After her picture was published in a magazine that publishes news of the Corona Theatre School, she got the role of the Jewish refugee Karen in the Oscar-winning blockbuster Exodus (1960). She appeared on Broadway in 1966 and participated in a musical for two and a half years and in some horror films in Britain, such as It! (1967). Her final appearance was in Mergers & Acquisitions (2001). She died in Manhattan, New York, USA on January 3, 2011.
