Shaimaa Saied |
A Canadian actress, born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. When she was 16 years old, she went to Paris to study English literature, art, and the French language. She fell in love with Paris, appeared in her first feature film, Club de Femmes (1956), and worked for a while as a model.
After a period of traveling around Europe, she went to Hollywood in 1965 and made some American films, then returned to moving around the world to present films produced by many countries, such as France, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Hungary. In addition to her film career, she appeared regularly on television in several programs and series.
She won the Fantafestival Award as Best Actress for Peau d’ange (1986). She never married, but she gave birth to her daughter, Justine Malle, with her boyfriend, Louis Malle. Among her notable works are Frantic (1988), The Hidden Face (2011), and Black Moon (1975).
