A Greek actor, born in Goranoi, Greece, as Georgios Thomas Regakos. He married actress Reine Davies, and she stayed with him until her death. His credits include The Mark of Zorro (1940), Waikiki Wedding (1937), Beau Geste (1926), and The Cat and the Canary (1939). George worked in American cinema since its silent era and joined the sound era. He was a theater actor in Athens before coming to the United States. He often played the roles of Latinos, Native Americans, Italians, Egyptians, Mexicans, or Greeks, as well as the roles of a mechanic, officer, subordinate, shipmaster, and gang member. He died in Los Angeles, California, United States of America, on December 13, 1940, after throat surgery, at the age of 50.
